Online Resources: e-Books

Springer e-books: MAHE  has subscribed Springer e-books (Total: 105360 Books) – a comprehensive online collection of scientific, technological and medical books and reference books. Springer books related to Engineering are nearly 75400. e-books  are available to access in the following subjects:

AIAA e-books : It is an international and premier publisher of cutting-edge aerospace books, the leading source of aerospace industry archives, dating back to the early 1900s. Over the past eight decades, AIAA and its predecessor organizations have published over 500 books and series and almost 200,000 technical articles.

Science Direct (Elsevier) e-books: Science Direct is a web based interface to the full-text database of Elsevier engineering and Science books. MAHE has subscribed  Engineering, Computer Science and basic science  books.

CBS E-books: The library provides access to more than 150 books by CBS publishers relevant to undergraduate and postgraduate learners through its EduPort platform.

McGraw-Hill Access Engineering: Access Engineering is an award-winning engineering reference tool for professionals, academics, and students that provide seamless access to the world’s most trusted collection of critical, regularly updated engineering reference information.  Access Engineering also comprises dynamic online features, such as instructional videos, interactive tables and charts, as well as personalization tools allowing users to organize crucial project information as they work. It covers 640 e-books on biomedical, chemical, civil, community, electrical, industry, Mechanical, software and operations management subjects. Access engineering also provides curriculum maps, Graphs and videos on the above subjects.

IEL Online: The IEEE/IEE Electronic Library (IEL) covers almost one third of the world’s current electrical engineering and computer science literature, providing unparalleled access to publications from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE).  IEEE and its members inspire a global community through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. The resource covers more than 950,000 documents from over 12,000 publications, including 260 journals, transactions, magazines, conference proceedings, IEEE Standards. More than 25,000 new pages are added per month. It provides access to more than two million full-page PDF images, including all original charts, graphs, diagrams, photographs, and illustrative material publications.

          ACM Digital Library: ACM is a research, discovery and networking platform, it contains Full-Text Collection of all ACM publications, including journals, conference proceedings, technical magazines, newsletters and books. A collection of curated and hosted full-text publications from select publishers. The ACM Guide to Computing Literature, a comprehensive bibliographic database focused exclusively on the field of computing. A richly interlinked set of connections among authors, works, institutions, and specialized communities. ACM publishes more than 50 scholarly peer-reviewed journals in dozens of computing and information technology disciplines. Available in print and online, ACM's high-impact, peer-reviewed journals constitute a vast and comprehensive archive of computing innovation, covering emerging and established computing research for both practical and theoretical applications.

ASCE: The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 160,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries. Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest national civil engineering society. The collection includes ASCE 485 e-Books, 41 journals, Standards, Manuals and Reports on Engineering Practice, Committee Technical Reports, and ASCE Press titles.

ASME: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is an essential resource for engineers seeking for latest research literature, current theory, practice and application. It promotes the art, science & practice of Multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe. ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world. More than 2000 papers are published in ASME every year.

Springer Nature : Springer  is a leading global scientific, technical and medical portfolio, providing researchers in academia, scientific institutions and corporate R&D departments with quality content through innovative information, products and services. MAHE has subscribed Springe nature e-journals. A comprehensive online collection of scientific, technological and medical journals.  Springer Nature is the publisher of the world’s most influential journals and a pioneer in the field of open research.    Its journals are of the highest quality with full articles and back files from 1997 onwards for the following subjects related to engineering and science.

Taylor & Francis Journals : T & F is one of the world’s leading academic publishers. Taylor & Francis publishes research from the forefront of science, medicine, technology, and engineering.  It has published scholarly journals, T & F publishes over 2,700 journals, 5,309,000+ articles and partners with more than 700 scholarly societies.

World Scientific journals: World Scientific publishes about 500 new titles a year and 120 journals in various fields. MAHE  has subscribed world scientific journals related to engineering and related subjects.

Cambridge press journals: Cambridge University Press, currently publishes more than 420 peer-reviewed academic journals covering subjects across the humanities, social sciences and science, technology and medicine.

Journal Citation Report (JCR): Journal Citation Reports® is a comprehensive and unique resource that allows evaluating and comparing journals using citation data drawn from over 12,856 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 83 countries. It is the only source of citation data in journals and includes virtually all areas of science, technology, and social sciences. Journal

Citation Reports can show the following:

  • Most frequently cited journals in a field 
  • Highest-impact journals in a field 
  • Largest journals in the field                                        

Citation and article counts are important indicators of how frequently researchers use individual journals. JCR offers a unique journal evaluation and comparison perspective by tabulating and aggregating citation and article counts.

 

ProQuest Library Science Database is a Library Science Database gives users full-text access to a selection of publications relevant to library and information science. It covers a range of titles and topics relevant to the theoretical and applied study of library science, including trade publications aimed at the library profession as well as scholarly journals. 

SciFinder: It is a research discovery application that provides unlimited access to the world's most comprehensive and authoritative source of references, substances and reactions in chemistry and related sciences. Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature with more than 36,377 titles from more than 11,678 international publishers. Web of Science: Web of Science provides researchers, administrators, faculty, and students quick, powerful access to the world's leading citation databases. Authoritative, multidisciplinary content covers over 21,000 of the highest-impact journals worldwide, including Open Access journals and over 205,000 conference proceedings. Current and retrospective coverage in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities, with coverage to 1900, is available. Users can also navigate to electronic full-text journal articles. It has access to the Science Citation Index (1900-present), Social Sciences Citation Index (1956-present), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975-present), Index Chemicals (1993-present), and Current Chemical Reactions (1986-present), plus archives 1840-1985 from INPI. The Web of Science provides access to Science Citation Index from 1965 onwards to all IITs and II Sc.

J-gate Science & Technology: J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature. Launched in 2001 by Informatics India Limited, J-Gate provides seamless access to millions of journal articles available online offered by 13,202 Publishers. It presently has a massive database of journal literature, indexed from 44,941 e-journals with links to full text at publisher sites. J-Gate also support online subscription to journals, electronic document delivery, archiving and other related services.

DELNET: MIT has taken the membership of DELNET Online services. The DELNET database can be accessed online, and the request may be sent to DELNET to provide photocopies of articles/books.

Bureau of Indian Standard: BIS is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. ASTM Standards and Engineering Digital Library (SEDL): ASTM formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) is a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of international voluntary consensus standards.
